WIPR recognises Gowling WLG's global IP leaders

20 February 2018

Sixteen individuals from Gowling WLG's global IP team in Canada, Russia and the UK have been named leading practitioners in the field by World Intellectual Property Review (WIPR) in its annual WIPR Leaders guide.

The handbook lists over 1,700 professionals in the areas of patents and trademarks. The recognition stems from a four-month nomination period in which WIPR sought views from 12,000 IP practitioners, as well as exploring the work of each individual candidate.

Those listed are selected based on their practice history, industry expertise and notable cases, as well as any additional activities, such as writing and teaching responsibilities, which have allowed them to shape and influence other and future IP practitioners.

This year's listees from Gowling WLG were:

Canada

Russia

  • David Aylen
  • Alexander Christophoroff
  • Julianna Tabastajewa
  • Vladislav Ugryumov

UK

This success follows the firm's recent shortlists in the MIP EMEA and MIP Americas awards and rankings in the prestigious WTR 1000 guide.
