Eleven Gowling WLG lawyers named in Who's Who Legal: Mining 2020 global rankings

Eleven of Gowling WLG's mining lawyers have been named leaders in their field in the Who's Who Legal: Mining 2020 Global Guide.

Four Gowling WLG UK LLP lawyers from the firm's Natural Resources team have been recognised as the sector's leading practitioners in the latest publication. Seven Gowling WLG Canada lawyers were also named as the mining sector's leading legal professionals by Who's Who Legal, which recognised 577 of the top mining practitioners from 412 law firms, across 62 global jurisdictions in 2020.

Gowling WLG Canada LLP's partner Cyndi Laval was named one of the region's 'Recommended' lawyers, noted as "a 'fabulous practitioner'" who "excels at advising major clients on a variety of complex mining transactions and resources matters".

Meanwhile, co-leader for Latin America, partner France Tenaille is also 'Recommended' for her "expertise in mining and M&A matters" and for her "notable experience in the Latin America region."

Gowling WLG UK LLP head of Natural Resources Charles Bond was also named a 'Recommended' lawyer having received "wide-ranging praise from international sources for his mining prowess," noted as being "well versed in transactional matters within the sector, including complex M&A."

Each year, the Who's Who Legal: Mining guide recognises the top legal practitioners across the sector internationally and is widely regarded as one of the leading mining legal directories. The results are based on a comprehensive research and consultation process engaging industry experts from around the world to identify the industry's leading legal experts.
