Alycia’s legal practice focuses on data privacy law and employment law, with a particular interest in the technology industry. She is passionate about understanding her clients' businesses, their operations and strategic visions, continuously looking at fresh and innovative ways to approach the complexities faced in the ever-changing legal landscape.
Recognized as a Certified Information Privacy Professional (C/CIPP) by the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP), Alycia advises clients on a broad range of privacy and cyber security issues, including privacy compliance, data protection, breach reporting and privacy program management.
On labour and employment matters, Alycia’s practice centres on helping clients develop strong and collaborative teams. She provides practical advice on a broad spectrum of legal matters, including recruitment, employee and labour relations, health and safety, and human rights. She regularly assists employers with developing comprehensive compensation programs and implementing their strategic and operational initiatives for managing their workforce.
Working with a variety of national and international clients, Alycia also conducts national policy and program reviews to address legal compliance gaps while making practical recommendations for best practices.
As an avid traveller, Alycia is always planning her next adventure. She passionate about getting involved with community initiatives, and regularly volunteers with Pro Bono Ontario and other non-profit organizations.
