Angelique A. Merakos

Angelique A. Merakos is an associate in Gowling WLG's Montréal office.

Angelique holds a bachelor's degree in civil law (LL.L) from the University of Ottawa's Faculty of Law. She is the recipient of several honourable mentions, notably the Justice Karakatsanis Scholarship as well as the University of Ottawa's Dean's award list recognizing academic achievement.

During her law studies, Angelique was involved in numerous academic and extracurricular activities. In 2020, she founded and served as president of the Women in Law Association at the University of Ottawa's Faculty of Law, Civil Law Section. In addition, she served as a member of the executive for the Ottawa Hellenic Law Students Association.

Prior to attending law school, she completed a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology and Immunology at the University of Montreal and conducted clinical research on the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV-1) at the Montreal Clinical Research Institute.
