Gowling WLG welcomes new business law partner Marco P. Rodrigues to its Montréal office
Gowling WLG is pleased to announce the arrival of Marco P. Rodrigues as a partner in the Business Law Group of its Montréal office.
Marco's practice is focused on bilateral and syndicated lending, acquisition finance, leveraged finance, asset-based lending, factoring, supply-chain finance, real estate finance, project finance and restructuring. Throughout his career, he has advised clients on a wide variety of unsecured and secured financing transactions, both domestic and cross-border, across the credit spectrum.
A member of the Québec Bar since 2003, Marco began his law career in Montréal before leaving for the Middle East in 2008. He practised in Dubai for six years before coming back to private practice in Quebec. Recently, he spent more than four years at SNC-Lavalin, where he led the legal functions of the global finance/treasury department. In this role, Marco was involved in some of the most important non-contentious matters of the organization.
"Marco has considerable experience in financing and banking law, and will be a valuable asset to our clients and our team. His considerable experience at both large and in-house law firms allows him to quickly analyze complex issues from all angles," says Pierre Pilote, managing partner of Gowling WLG's Montréal office. "We are very proud to welcome him to the firm. His arrival is a key part of our business law growth strategy in Montréal, and will help enrich our service offerings to clients."
