Bio

Alexandria (Lexi) Giesbrecht is an associate in Gowling WLG’s Calgary office, practicing in the Intellectual Property Group.

Lexi brings a technical background to her practice. She earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Victoria, Faculty of Law, in 2024, after completing a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering with distinction from the University of Calgary in 2020. Before law school, Lexi worked in the power sector with a major transmission operator and an electrical distributor, gaining experience in the energy industry.

During her undergraduate studies, Lexi was a member of the Canadian gymnastics team. During law school, she was active in Victoria’s running community, and she continues to enjoy running and biking outdoors as Calgary’s weather permits.
