Colleen Tyler is a senior paralegal in Gowling WLG's Vancouver office. She currently provides assistance to lawyers in the Intellectual Property Law Group with respect to all aspects of patent prosecution in Canada, the United States and around the world.
Colleen has over 10 years of experience working with lawyers on patents with a focus on the Life Sciences industry. She prepares all formal documentation, including sequence listings, related to international applications, as well as Canadian patent applications and national entry documents.
Colleen has extensive knowledge of the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) rules and regulations, as well as foreign filing and legalization requirements in many foreign countries. She also has experience in the management and organization of large patent portfolios.
Colleen has a strong background in science having pursued a bachelor of science degree at the University of Manitoba and finishing that degree at the Northwestern College of Chiropractic, where she subsequently acquired a Doctor of Chiropratic degree.
