A team from international law firm Gowling WLG's corporate practice has advised US-based long-term software investor Banyan Software on its acquisition of the Switzerland headquartered specialist software provider Element34. This follows Banyan's recent investment in a dedicated and locally-based UK and European team.

Element34's flagship product, SBOX, allows enterprises to test the functionality of their web and mobile applications across multiple browsers and mobile devices at scale. Customers include government organisations, global brand owners and several leading European banks and insurance companies.

Principal associate Chris Letters led on the advice provided, supported by corporate Partner Jeremy Millington and associate Jessica Waldron. Partner Jocelyn Paulley advised on IT and data protection matters.

Commenting on the team's role, Chris said:

"It has been a pleasure to advise on Banyan's latest European acquisition as it continues to expand its portfolio of successful enterprise software businesses. We look forward to seeing Element34 implement its exciting growth plans over the coming years in partnership with Banyan."
