Gowling WLG strengthens its Corporate M&A / Private Equity department in France
The Paris office of the international law firm Gowling WLG is pleased to welcome Barbara Jouffa as a partner in the Corporate M&A / Private Equity department.
Barbara joins Jérôme Patenotte and Simon Lowe to strengthen the Corporate M&A / Private Equity department. The appointment is in line with the firm's desire to support the strong growth of its M&A and private equity expertise, in particular in the technology sector, one of Gowling WLG's major activities worldwide.
Barbara is an expert in M&A, private equity and venture capital matters. She is involved in both domestic and cross-border transactions, particularly in the technology sector.
Recently, Barbara was involved in the acquisition of The Fork, a French online restaurant reservation platform, by the American TripAdvisor; alongside EDRIP and shareholders during Harmonic INC.'s acquisition of Thomson Video Networks, the world leader in video compression. She also acted on the acquisition of shares in Capzanine by Eurazeo and Axa.
Barbara said: "Gowling WLG enjoys a first-rate reputation in the French and international markets. I am delighted to join Jérôme Patenotte and Simon Lowe and the entire team in Paris to further strengthen our M&A, private equity and venture capital capabilities across all Gowling WLG offices."
Frédéric Dereux, managing partner of Gowling WLG's Paris office, added: "Our office is Gowling WLG's platform for Continental Europe. Barbara's arrival is part of a renewed strategic framework for our office and also for all Gowling WLG offices, enabling us to meet the growing demand from our clients for operations marked by ever-increasing foreign elements in various sectors.
"We are therefore enthusiastic about the idea of welcoming Barbara and thus strengthening, through her technical and human qualities, our Parisian team and our technology practice in particular, a reinforcement that will continue in the coming months."
