She advises on all aspects of witness participation from reviewing and drafting evidence, to coordinating and preparing for witness attendance at hearings. She has worked closely with leading counsel and the Government Legal Department's legal teams to manage disclosure, draft Rule 9 responses, and develop evidence in response to the Inquiry team's request for evidence. Amy has supervised large and small teams of paralegals and assisted with training and mentoring junior associates.
With a good understanding of the procedural and reputational challenges that inquiries present, Amy takes a measured and pragmatic approach to ensuring witnesses are fully prepared and supported. She supports Counsel and combines careful analysis of complex factual material with an appreciation of the broader institutional and political context in which inquiries operate. Amy is experienced in managing large volumes of documentary evidence, coordinating multi-party correspondence, and liaising with inquiry teams to ensure the smooth progression of evidence and hearings. Her detailed approach to document analysis makes her a trusted member of the inquiry team.
Amy also brings a wealth of broad litigation experience to the team. She has handled a significant caseload of contentious matters for large banks and worked on group litigation matters involving thousands of claimants. Amy has demonstrated expertise in analysing and redacting sensitive material and has led teams of reviewers on large scale document reviews.
Additionally, Amy has worked on a number of international appeals before various courts and tribunals including the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council.
