Ariane Lefebvre

Ariane Lefebvre is a bilingual associate in Gowling WLG's Ottawa office, practising in the Advocacy department's Medical Defence Group. As counsel to physicians, her practice focuses on all areas of medical defence litigation and professional regulation. She has represented physicians in proceedings before the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario, the Health Professions Appeal and Review Board and the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario.
Ariane graduated from the University of Ottawa's French Common Law Program with distinction. Prior to attending law school, she completed an undergraduate degree in Health Sciences at the University of Ottawa.
Ariane’s background includes working at the Senate of Canada as a legal intern to the Honourable Senator Yvonne Boyer, and at the Senate Appeal Committee of the University of Ottawa as the sole Undergraduate Student Member. Ariane has previously volunteered for various organizations, including Reach Canada, a legal referral service for people with disabilities in the Ottawa region, and the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada.
Ariane is fluent in English and French and serves clients in both official languages.
