Connor McGarry

Connor McGarry is an associate in Gowling WLG’s Ottawa office, practising in the Business Law Department. Connor’s practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions and general corporate work. His M&A experience ranges from representing business owners through their first sale or acquisition, to representing international private equity firms.

In addition to his legal career, Connor worked as an investment banker at a mid-market boutique investment bank for five years. This experience provides a unique perspective and added value to his legal practice.

Connor is an active member in the community. He coaches minor hockey and t-ball, has been a director for local not-for-profits, and is the co-founder and co-chair the Travis Price Classic Charity Golf Tournament (TPC), a golf tournament in honour of a friend. Over the course of its 14-year existence, the TPC has raised net proceeds in excess of $3M. In recognition of his professional and community achievements, Connor was awarded the Ottawa Business Journal and the Ottawa Chamber of Commerce “Forty Under 40” award in 2023.
