François Guay-Racine

François Guay-Racine is an associate in Gowling WLG's Ottawa office, practising in the Advocacy Department. His practice focuses on civil and administrative litigation in the areas of health law, professional liability and disciplinary matters. François' experience includes assisting with the preparation of complex medical malpractice trials (with and without jury).
François graduated from the University of Ottawa's bijural Programme de droit canadien (J.D. / LL.L.). Prior to attending law school, he completed an undergraduate degree in conflict studies and human rights (Honours) at the University of Ottawa.
François' background includes working for the House of Commons, the Library of Parliament and the Supreme Court of Canada. He also completed internships with the Department of Justice, and l'Association des juristes d'expression française de l'Ontario (AJEFO), and was recognized as one of the best oral advocates in the 2017 Charles Rousseau International Law Moot Court Competition.
François is fluent in English and French and serves clients in both official languages.
