Bio
Liz Marr is an articling student in Gowling WLG’s Hamilton office.
Liz completed her JD at Dalhousie University on the Dean`s List, where she was a three-time Schulich Scholarship recipient for her academic achievement and community involvement.
During law school, Liz co-coordinated the Pro Bono Dalhousie program, which placed over 200 law students with dozens of organizations. Liz also participated in several experiential courses, including Dalhousie’s Criminal Law Clinic, the Laskin Moot and a clerkship at the Nova Scotia Supreme Court. These experiences allowed her to develop and practice skills related to client management, advocacy and legal research.
Prior to law school, Liz completed her undergrad with the highest distinction at McMaster University, majoring in political science. Her experience living and volunteering at various organizations throughout the Hamilton area uniquely positions her to serve organizations locally and beyond.
In her spare time, Liz enjoys sailing, hiking and reading.
