Maddy advised a pension scheme's administrators in relation to the threatened imposition of an FSD before the Determinations Panel, negotiating and drafting the settlement agreement and engaging with the Trustee, the PPF and the Pensions Regulator.

In another matter she advised a Trustee in moral-hazard proceedings brought by the Pensions Regulator seeking to issue an FSD against target companies in the parent group, advising on settlement of the matter and subsequent merger of three group pension schemes.

Maddy acted on the successful appeal to the High Court from the Pensions Ombudsman's determination in respect of the application of old Inland Revenue Limits.
