Bio
Megan Marchand is an articling student in Gowling WLG’s Montréal office.
She earned a bachelor of laws (LL.B.) from the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM) in 2025. Megan also holds a bachelor’s degree from the Université de Montréal, which she earned by accumulating certificates, including a certificate in law, a certificate in investigation and intelligence, and a minor in political science.
During her legal studies, Megan was actively involved with UQAM’s Labour Law Committee, serving as its president for two consecutive terms.
Throughout her academic and professional journey, Megan worked as a paralegal in labour and employment law within the Québec public service, where she strengthened her legal research and drafting skills. She also worked as a legal technician in notarial law, gaining practical experience in that area. Prior to that, she spent more than five years as a tax collections officer with Revenu Québec.
Megan’s practice interests focus primarily on litigation as well as labour and employment law.
