
Bio
Ryan Miller is an articling student in Gowling WLG’s Ottawa office, focusing his work in the Disputes, Professional Liability, and Specialized Practices Group.
Ryan recently completed his juris doctor at the University of Ottawa, Faculty of Law (Common Law). During his studies, he worked as a research assistant, specializing in agri-business law, trade, constitutional law, and regulatory law. As well, Ryan completed a six-month exchange at l’université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, l’École de Droit de la Sorbonne, where he studied European Union trade law and comparative law.
Prior to entering law school, Ryan worked as a political advisor in various offices on Parliament Hill, bringing extensive experience in government relations and strategic advisement. He also worked for the Ottawa International Airport Authority, where he specialized in employment and labour law, as well as regulatory compliance.
Ryan holds a master’s degree in political science specializing in political economy, as well as a bachelor’s degree in political science and public administration.
