Bio
Serena Nath is an articling student in Gowling WLG’s Ottawa office, focusing her work with the Intellectual Property Group.
Serena completed her JD at Osgoode Hall Law School. During her studies, Serena was actively involved in the intellectual property department, holding positions as a clinic fellow for the IP Innovation Clinic and as a writer for the IP Osgoode blog, IPilogue. She also competed on Osgoode’s Patent Drafting Team for the USPTO’s 2023 National Patent Application Drafting Competition.
Prior to entering law school, Serena obtained a Bachelor of Medical Science in Biochemistry and Cell Biology from Western University and a Master of Science in Biochemistry from McGill University. While at McGill, Serena pursued research in the areas of cancer biomarkers and cancer therapy.
Beyond her legal career, Serena enjoys all physical exercise and is an avid listener of the podcast The Ongoing History of New Music.
