
Bio
Yash Chavda is an articling student in the Business Law Group at Gowling WLG’s Toronto office. He completed his JD at Queen’s University. During his studies, Yash was a recipient of the National General Counsel Network Fellowship. Yash also participated in the Donald G.H. Bowman National Tax Moot, where he was awarded Best Factum, and later served as a student coach for the 2024–2025 competition year.
Prior to joining Gowling WLG, Yash worked at the Department of Justice with the Tax Litigation team, where he gained experience drafting facta, affidavits, conducting tax-related research, and assisting counsel in submissions before the Tax Court and Federal Court. Yash also worked at the Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan in their in-house corporate legal team, where he gained experience working in securities, and general corporate matters.
Yash’s combined experience in business law, tax, and general corporate practice positions him well to support clients across a wide range of corporate and transactional matters.
