We all spent parts of our lives here at Gowlings where friendships were formed and memories were created and successes were achieved and celebrated.
That's why it was important for us to bring everyone back together again and connect the past and the present to strengthen our ties to celebrate the legacy that our alumni created for us.

I just want to say to our Alumni you had a tremendous impact on us and in the Firm and we're absolutely proud of the accomplishments that our Alumni have achieved and continue to wish to celebrate those successes and take inspiration from those successes as well.
You likely will have seen the notice that went out about the launch of our Alumni program. It's another way for you and for all of us to stay connected with the firm and with each other and so if you haven't had a chance to register yet you can do so tonight.
Today our dear friend John Callahan it was announced that he too got appointed to the Ontario superior court of justice.
You are the court's problem now [Applause/laughter]
But you know what John we are truly happy for you.
