Gowling WLG appointed to The Insolvency Service's £16 million legal panel
Gowling WLG has been re-appointed to The Insolvency Service's legal services panel to provide a range of services in England, Wales and Scotland.
The appointment by The Insolvency Service - an executive agency of the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) - is under the Crown Commercial Service (CCS) RM3786 Legal Framework and is on an initial two year term, with the client holding the option to extend the period by two further periods of 12 months.
The new framework covers a broad range of legal services, including supporting The Insolvency Service in investigating misconduct and pursuing directors' disqualification proceedings through the Courts in the name of the Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy and commencing and pursuing public interest winding up proceedings, disqualification investigations and costs recovery.
Gowling WLG's in-depth expertise and experience in this area of work resulted in the re-appointment alongside just four other firms. The anticipated value of the contract is £16 million.
International law firm Gowling WLG has worked with The Insolvency Service for more than 25 years, with client leads Davinia Gransbury and Kathy Garside acting for the organisation for 25 years and 22 years, respectively.
Davinia, partner and Dispute Resolution Group (DRG) leader at Gowling WLG, said: "We are extremely proud to have been reappointed by The Insolvency Service which is a testament to Gowling WLG's longstanding track record of working with the agency.
"Our team has continuously worked with the Insolvency Service in supporting its aims of delivering economic confidence and tackling financial misconduct. We look forward to strengthening our relationship with the client even further over the next two years."
