Gowling WLG has been recognised for its market-leading legal expertise in the Chambers & Partners UK 2025 rankings.

We have secured top rankings in the legal directory's London, Midlands, UK-wide, West Midlands and Yorkshire categories across our sector lines, including Construction, Corporate & Commercial, Energy & Natural Resources, Government & Public Sector, Life Sciences and Health & Care, Real Estate, and Technology. We have also seen marked success in a wide range of our specialist services – including Employment, Insurance, Intellectual Property, Finance, Funds, Pensions and Transport.

Based on independent research, client and peer feedback, Chambers & Partners recognises firms for technical legal ability and team depth, professional conduct, client service, commercial astuteness, diligence, and value for money.

This year, Gowling WLG claims a total 38 practice area rankings, supporting the firm's legal market credentials as an advisor to clients regionally, nationally and internationally.

The latest results comprise eight prestigious 'Band 1' rankings, including 'stand-alone' top banding for Construction and Intellectual Property, as well as marked success for Corporate, Energy & Natural Resources, Employment, Intellectual Property, Investment Funds, Life Sciences, Pensions, Planning and Real Estate.

Recognising our legal talent at all levels, our professionals have also scooped a total 76 individual rankings in recognition of their technical legal ability, professional conduct, client service, commercial astuteness, diligence and commitment.

Of these, 12 lawyers feature across a total 13 rankings in the elite 'Band 1', 'Eminent Practitioner', 'Senior Statesperson', and 'Star Individuals' lists of the exceptional individuals in each practice area. A further 57 Gowling WLG lawyers are ranked in 'Bands 2-6', recognising them as the very best in their fields this year.

An additional three lawyers are named "Up and Coming", and a further three featured in the "Associates to Watch" lists of professionals at the forefront of their generation. Overall, the firm records six new lawyer inclusions this year, with a further five lawyers achieving upward ranking moves for 2025.

These latest rankings follow Gowling WLG's top-tier results in the Legal 500 UK 2025, in which we recorded 65 practice area rankings, and 87 individual accolades across London, the West Midlands and Yorkshire.
