Adam Swartz

Adam Swartz is an associate in the Trademarks Group in Gowling WLG’s Vancouver office. His practice focuses on trademark enforcement and infringement, as well as broader brand protection strategies. He has experience in copyright infringement matters, including software piracy, and also advises on regulatory investigations involving intellectual property assets.
Adam joined Gowling WLG as a summer student in 2024 and later completed his articles with the firm. Prior to this, he worked as a summer articling student in criminal defence, where he gained first-hand litigation experience.
Adam earned his JD from Thompson Rivers University, where he was named to the Dean’s Honour List and received the course prizes in Intellectual Property Law and In-house & Corporate Counsel. During law school, he served as a vice president in the TRU Business Law Society and volunteered with Pro Bono Students Canada.
Adam holds a bachelor of science from the University of Victoria, where he studied the application of computer science in the music industry.
