Alex O'Reilly is the leader of Gowling WLG’s Indigenous Law Practice Group. He primarily advises Indigenous nations and Indigenous development corporations on legal and strategic matters supporting nation-building and economic development.
Clients rely on Alex for guidance across a wide range of legal matters, including issues pertaining to corporate and commercial law, mining, forestry, governance, constitutional law, treaty implementation, construction law, and employment and labour law.
Alex has also developed niche experience advising clients on regulatory compliance under Québec’s construction law regime, including matters involving the Régie du bâtiment du Québec (RBQ) and the Autorité des marchés publics (AMP).
He practises in both English and French.
