Two from Gowlings named among international Who’s Who of energy lawyers

07 August 2015

Two Gowlings lawyers have been recognized among the world’s leading energy lawyers in the 2015 edition of Who’s Who Legal: Energy: Ahab Abdel-Aziz and Terence McNally.

Ahab Abdel-Aziz, a partner in Gowlings’ Toronto office, serves as the firm’s Global Director of Nuclear Power Generation. He has been a leader in the global nuclear sector for over 20 years, advising members of the Canadian and international nuclear energy sector and government agencies in policy and legislative development, nuclear project development and finance, licensing and compliance, and dispute resolution.

In addition to Who’s Who Legal, Abdel-Aziz is recognized as one of Canada’s top energy lawyers in the Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory and the Lexpert/ROB Guide to Canada’s Leading Energy Lawyers.

With over 30 years of business law experience, Terence McNally — also a partner in Gowlings’ Toronto office — advises on a broad range of energy-related corporate and commercial matters. He brings particular expertise in the nuclear power industry and broader Ontario electricity sector, and is an active member of the Canadian Nuclear Lawyers Organization.

Earlier this year, McNally was selected for inclusion in the Who’s Who Legal 100, which featured him as one of the top energy and natural resources lawyers in the world, and described his practice as “pioneering.”
