Gowling WLG recognised as a top employer by Working Families charity

09 September 2020

Gowling WLG has been listed as one of the 2020 Top Employers by work-life balance charity, Working Families.

The charity, which helps working parents and carers find a better balance between their personal and professional responsibilities, uses its annual benchmarking assessment to evaluate an organisation's flexible, agile, and family-friendly working policies and practices.

The benchmark is the only tool available that measures all aspects of flexible working and work-life policies and practice. It evaluates how well these are integrated into an organisation's values and culture, and also looks specifically at how well an organisation supports and engages with its parents and carers.

Gowling WLG's HR Director Chris Oglethorpe said: "We're proud to have been recognised in this year's Top Employers for Working Families. This recognition is testament to the progressive nature of our firm and its ability to respond to, and support, our people through the changes in their lives.

"We're always striving to be better, and how we can best empower our people to meet, not only the needs of their families' lives, but also to harness creative solutions to deliver excellent client service - is a key driver of our culture."

This success follows the firm's recognition of its 20th consecutive year in the 'Great Place to Work' rankings, and being listed as a UK's Best Workplace™. Gowling WLG is one of only two companies holding "Lifetime Masters status", having been listed every year since the survey began in 2001.
