Wudassie Tamrat

Wudassie Tamrat is an associate in Gowling WLG's Ottawa office, practising in the Advocacy Group. Her practice focuses on civil and commercial litigation, international trade law, and privacy and access to information.

Wudassie advises, represents and assists individual and corporate clients on a wide range of civil and commercial litigation matters, including contractual disputes and proprietary rights. She also provides strategic guidance and advice on privacy-related matters, export and import controls, sanctions, tariffs and other trade related concerns.

Wudassie obtained her law degree at Osgoode Hall Law School. During her studies, she served as a senior editor of the Osgoode Hall Law Journal. Prior to attending law school, Wudassie earned her BA (Honours) in Political Studies and Global Development Studies from Queen's University, where she served as the managing editor for Politicus Journal, an undergraduate peer-reviewed publication.

Wudassie practises in English, and in addition speaks French, Spanish and Amharic.
