Yasmina Boulahia

Yasmina Boulahia is a patent agent in training in Gowling WLG's Montréal office, where she provides assistance to the intellectual property team. Yasmina focuses her practice on patent and industrial design drafting and prosecution.

Yasmina possesses a unique understanding of the technological applications of physics. She holds a bachelor's degree in physics engineering and has knowledge of many advanced technologies, including semi-conductors, biomedical technologies, quantum technologies, material sciences, nanotechnologies, microelectronics and optical telecommunications.

After earning her B.Eng., Yasmina taught at the graduate level, an experience that allowed her to develop her talent for scientific popularization. She also learned to do research and draft scientific articles. She put her scientific curiosity, interpersonal skills and leadership to good use by organizing summer schools and international conferences on nanotechnologies.

Yasmina's academic career has led her from North Africa to Europe before settling in Canada. She practises in English, French and she is fluent in Arabic.
