Emma Speight

Emma Speight is a Leeds based residential development lawyer. She has extensive experience on all aspects of immediate and strategic residential development advising on both options and conditional and unconditional contracts together with associated matters such as overage, infrastructure agreements and easements.

She also has substantial experience in acting for residential providers of social housing in acquiring fully affordable development sites and also dealing with the sale purchase of turnkey and golden brick 's106' plots.

Experience

  • Advising national and regional housebuilders on the acquisition of sites under short term conditional contracts as well as long term options, drafting overage agreements and conducting due diligence;
  • Advising a registered provider of social housing on the acquisition of a 250 unit multi-tenure affordable housing development comprising both section 106 and additional affordable plots;
  • Acting for housebuilders and registered providers of social housing on the acquisition of residential development parcels forming part of a larger serviced development site.
  • Acting for housebuilders in the sale of units to registered providers of social housing in order to fulfil the clients planning requirements in relation to the provision of affordable housing.
