The support you receive
As you're given responsibility and your contribution to the team is valued, you get support. To help you succeed, we build a strong formal and informal network around you with some of the best in the business.
And from the start there's practical assistance. We bring you quickly up to speed with our systems and processes. An experienced trainee is your mentor, to provide tips and answer all your questions. And a partner in the firm becomes your principal, who's on hand for support and guidance.
The experience you gain
You complete four six-month seats: real estate, contentious, non-contentious, and a fourth one of your choice. This could be a client secondment, which gives you the chance to step into the shoes of a client, work in their legal team and understand what they expect from their lawyers. There are also opportunities to complete a seat in one of our international offices.
Alongside your work you complete the Professional Skills Course, with modules on Finance & Business Skills, Advocacy & Communication Skills, Client Care, Professional Standards, Effective Written Communications and The Skilled Negotiator. This means you develop all the practical expertise a well-rounded lawyer needs.
