Olivia Lifman

Olivia Lifman is an associate in Gowling WLG's Toronto office and a member of the firm's Business Law Group. Olivia practises in the areas of corporate and commercial law, with a particular focus on advising private companies and financial services industry participants on regulatory and transactional matters. She regularly works with clients in the insurance, pensions / benefits, and technology sectors.

Olivia's practical, thorough, and measured approach ensures excellence in the service she provides. She has successfully completed the Osgoode Certificate in Regulatory Compliance and Legal Risk Management for Financial Institutions. In 2018, she was seconded to the wealth management group at one of Gowling WLG's largest banking clients.

Olivia summered and articled with the firm before becoming an associate. She earned her JD from the University of Toronto, Faculty of Law. Prior to her legal studies, Olivia obtained a M.Phil in Modern and Contemporary Literature from the University of Cambridge, and a First Class Honours BA in English Literature and International Relations from McGill University.
