Gowling WLG is pleased to announce that Irina Kosovskaya has joined the firm's IP litigation practice as counsel in the Moscow office.

Irina Kosovskaya is qualified as a Russian trademark and patent attorney and a Eurasian patent attorney. She is also a member of the Moscow Bar Association.

Irina has more than 14 years of experience advising clients on a range of intellectual property and data protection compliance matters. She has also been practising IP litigation.

Irina focuses her extensive practice on IP rights protection (including trademarks, appellations of origin, patents, designs, software and copyright), as well as dispute resolution before the Chamber for Patent Disputes at Rospatent, in Russian state commercial courts (including the Intellectual Property Court) and in courts of general jurisdiction. She also possesses significant experience in IP rights prosecution and IP transactions.

Over the course of her career, Irina has successfully advised multinational and Russian clients representing a variety of industry sectors, including pharmaceuticals, telecommunications, technology and software, leisure and hotels, publishing, food and beverage, and consumer goods.

In 2018, she was recognized as a Rising Star by Managing Intellectual Property, which described her as a "business-oriented lawyer who clearly understands priorities and provides valuable straight-to-the-point advice, clear opinions and suggestions."
