Emma is a problem solver who wants to help you get your money back.
As an associate lawyer in Gowling WLG's Hamilton office and a member of the Recovery Services Group, Emma's primary focus is on debtor and creditor law, specifically in the area of small business loan recovery in both commercial and agricultural industries. She has extensive experience reviewing client documents and client's security, issuing demand letters and analyzing the best course of action for recovery, whether it be through a negotiated agreement, litigation, or asset seizure.
Prior joining Gowling WLG as an associate in 2016, Emma received her LLB from the University of Kent in 2013 and successfully completed her Certificate of Qualification through the National Committee of Accreditation in 2014. While completing her Certificate of Qualification, Emma gained experience at a boutique e-discovery firm in Toronto and volunteered as a triage receptionist at the Pro Bono Ontario centre in the Toronto courthouse.
During law school, Emma was an active volunteer at the Kent Legal Clinic, which provides free legal advice to individuals in the local community.
Prior to law school, Emma attended the University of Western Ontario and obtained an Honours Bachelor of Science in physiology and psychology.
