Regina Corrigan is the chair of Gowling WLG’s Real Estate & Banking Department and a member of the Firm’s National Management Committee. Known for her inclusive, pragmatic leadership style and her ability to align people around shared goals, Regina works with closely with colleagues to drive initiatives that strengthen client relationships, modernize legal operations, and develop the next generation of legal talent.
Prior to her current role, Regina served as managing partner of the firm’s Calgary office for more than 10 years. During this time, she played a central role in expanding the firm’s presence in the Alberta market and supporting the growth of legal professionals across all practice areas served by that office. She also served on the firm’s national Internal Management Committee, where she helped lead and advance a number of cross-practice priorities.
Routinely recognized as a leader in her fields by Lexpert and Best Lawyers in Canada, Regina draws on more than 30 years of experience helping clients commercialize technology and protect their brands. This work includes advising clients on the negotiation and drafting of a wide range of commercial agreements, including outsourcing, distribution, technology licensing, research and development, joint venture, consulting, and professional services agreements. She also has deep experience across all aspects of trademark law, including prosecution, opposition, licensing, and rights transfer in Canada.
