Cyber security remains one of the most significant risks facing organisations today. With increasingly sophisticated threats, evolving regulatory expectations and ongoing legislative developments, in-house legal teams have a critical role to play in preparing for and responding to a cyber incident.

But when an incident actually happens, how prepared is your organisation to respond?

We are pleased to invite our ThinkHouse community to an exclusive, interactive cyber breach response workshop, bringing together specialists from legal, cyber security and corporate communications to explore what happens when a cyber incident unfolds in real time.

Hear from our specialists

Amber Strickland and Sarah Gray, Principal Associates at Gowling WLG, will provide the legal perspective, looking at the crucial role of the in-house legal team during a cyber incident, the key legal and regulatory considerations, and the practical challenges organisations need to navigate as events unfold.

Rebeca Scully, Head of Corporate Communications, Gowling WLG
Rebecca will bring a communications and reputation perspective, considering how organisations manage communications and stakeholder expectations during a fast-moving incident.

They will be joined by Vishvas Nayi, CyberQ Group, a leading cyber security specialist who works at the forefront of cyber incident response. Drawing on his experience supporting organisations through real-world cyber attacks and business-critical incidents, Vishvas will share first-hand insights into how cyber crises unfold in practice, the emerging threats organisations need to be prepared for, and the practical steps leaders can take to strengthen resilience and response capabilities.

Using a realistic cyber incident scenario, attendees will work through key decision points in small groups, exploring the legal, communications and operational challenges organisations face when responding to a live cyber event.

Together, we will discuss:
• How organisations can prepare for and respond to a cyber incident
• The legal and regulatory considerations that arise as an incident develops
• The role of legal, cyber security, communications and leadership teams during a crisis
• Practical steps to strengthen cyber resilience
• There will also be an opportunity for attendees to hear some real life “war stories” from experts in this area and to share experiences and concerns (Chatham House Rules apply).

Who should attend?

Designed specifically for senior in-house lawyers, this highly interactive session will provide plenty of opportunity to share experiences, discuss challenges with peers and hear practical insights from our panel.

Places are strictly limited and, as a valued member of the ThinkHouse community, you are among the first to hear. Attendance will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

We expect demand to be high, so we encourage you to register early to secure your place.
