Adopting international standards is one of the many ways we look to assure prospective and existing clients that Gowling WLG takes a quality approach, and is always looking for ways to do even better. Every team in the firm gets involved, constantly volunteering ideas, reflecting on enhancing processes for the benefit of clients and proactively contributing all year round not just at audit time.
ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems
This standard was adopted in 1993 and last year we received an award from BSI for 25 years of achievement. The requirements of the standard, which is all about client satisfaction, are built into everything we do, across all areas and teams in the firm.
ISO 14001 Environmental Management
Although the standard has been in place for six years, we have been tackling environmental impacts for many years. Our PLANET+ agenda, the name we give to our approach to energy and the environment, is ambitious and centres around six core goals.
ISO 50001 Energy Management
We have gone above and beyond the requirements of the Energy Savings and Opportunity Scheme (ESOS) and adopted this standard to push forward an extensive energy and carbon reduction programme, which falls under the PLANET+ banner too.
ISO22301 Business Continuity Management
We have detailed plans in place, owned by colleagues across the firm, to ensure that any disruption arising from a building, firm wide or local issue that could have any impact on our clients, is kept to the absolute minimum.
ISO/IEC 27001 Information Security Management
Taking care of client and other information is at the top of the list of priorities and adopting, as well as auditing, against the comprehensive set of controls it contains is of paramount importance to us.
Cyber Essentials Certified Plus
Cyber Essentials Plus is the highest level of certification offered under the Cyber Essentials scheme, an official UK wide, government-backed certification that helps business to guard against the most common cyber threats
