Our Sport Sector team has advised RP-Sanjiv Goenka Group (RPSG) on its acquisition of a 70% stake in Manchester Originals for £80 million.

This acquisition marks a significant step for RPSG as they look to establish Manchester Originals as a competitive force in the cricketing world, leveraging their experience from operating IPL franchise Lucknow Super Giants and SA20 Durban Super Giants. Manchester Originals, which will be renamed Manchester Super Giants for the 2026 season.
