Prevention of sexual harassment health check tool

A recent EU-wide survey on gender-based violence has found that one third of women have been sexually harassed at work; with young women reporting an even higher prevalence. Sexual harassment at work can occur in a variety of ways, with staring or leering, sexual jokes and remarks and unwanted physical contact being the most common.
This health check tool covers the legal obligations of employers in the UK, Germany and France to prevent sexual harassment in the workplace. It is designed to help organisations with operations in one or more of these jurisdictions assess their current measures and identify potential areas for review and improvement.
Given the legal, reputational and cultural issues created by allegations of sexual harassment within an organisation and the variety of ways in which sexual harassment can take place in the modern world, it is more important than ever for employers operating in the UK, Germany and/or France to think about the steps they currently have in place and what else they might be doing to ensure they have robust measures to prevent incidents of sexual harassment.
