Alongside being recognised in the Green Guide, Ben Stansfield is also named a 'Green Ambassador', as a result of new research launched by The Legal 500. Green Ambassadors are defined as stand-out lawyers who combine leading green transition mandates with driving change inside their firms and the wider market. They are advocates for sustainability, shape ESG practices, influence internal operations and lead industry dialogues to help create change.

Ben Stansfield said: "We are proud to feature once again in this year's Green Guide and be recognised for our ESG efforts – both through our work to support clients in this area and how we're striving to make a difference against our own sustainability goals. ESG and sustainability issues continue to evolve and our global team is following developments closely, engaging on the key issues and investing in finding new ways to support clients and work together to create positive impacts on the climate."

Gowling WLG's specialist ESG team is fully engaged in developments around ESG. Comprising lawyers from a diverse range of practice areas and across our international offices, the team supports clients on a wide spectrum of matters – helping them understand their responsibilities and identify areas of risk and opportunity as they move forward with their sustainability strategies and long-term ambitions.
