Gowling WLG has been highly commended in two categories at the Legal Business Awards 2026 for its Public Sector team's work advising the Ministry of Defence on the Typhoon to Türkiye programme and its Marketing Communications team's delivery of the Digital Experience Project (DXP).

Gowling WLG's Public Sector team was recognised in the Public Sector Team of the Year category for its work with the Government Legal Department advising the Ministry of Defence on the Typhoon to Türkiye programme, a strategically significant defence mandate involving complex international coordination and commercial structuring.

The team supported the Ministry of Defence on the UK's involvement in Türkiye's acquisition, maintenance and operational support arrangements for Eurofighter Typhoon capability. The mandate required close collaboration across jurisdictions and extensive experience advising on complex public sector and defence matters.

Working alongside the Government Legal Department, Gowling WLG brought together lawyers from across its Aviation, Aerospace & Defence, Public Procurement, Commercial Contracts, International Trade, Intellectual Property and Regulatory teams to support the delivery of this high-profile matter.
