The Dubai office of Gowling WLG moves to new home in ICD Brookfield Place
The Dubai office of Gowling WLG is reaffirming its presence and commitment to the UAE and wider region with a move to Dubai International Financial Centre's (DIFC) newest business destination, ICD Brookfield Place. The move also coincides with the office adopting a Monday to Friday working week, from 1 January 2022.
Tim Casben, Managing Partner of Gowling WLG's Dubai office said: "Gowling WLG has been a part of the legal community in the UAE for almost 15 years and DIFC has been our home for much of that time. We are delighted to be moving to ICD Brookfield Place, which is a great collaboration between two leading UAE and Canadian institutions. When we started discussing a move with employees and presented various options it was clear that ICD Brookfield Place best represented all that our team were looking for with its leading technology and LEED Platinum certification, recognising its approach to sustainability.
"We have an excellent space on the 17th floor and the office has been configured to reflect our flexible and innovative approach to working and the green credentials of the building. The move comes at an exciting time for the firm, as we look to expand our presence in the region through our association with Al Ghazzawi in Saudi Arabia and the imminent opening of an office in Abu Dhabi".
Our continued investment in the UAE is a reflection of the Middle East's importance to the firm as a strategic region for growth. The office continues to focus on its key practice specialisms of technology, intellectual property, corporate, commercial and projects and infrastructure, in alignment with the UAE's innovation strategy and the significant investment in technology and infrastructure across the region.
Tim Casben added: "ICD Brookfield Place, with its innovative approach to sustainability is a fitting building from which to lead our regional growth for the next ten years and beyond".
