Bio
Cole is an articling student in Gowling WLG's Calgary office.
During law school, Cole participated in the Pro Bono Students Canada program and gained experience in assisting self-represented litigants through the King's Bench Amicus Project. He was also involved with the Black Law Students Association, University of Calgary Chapter, where he supported the team with research and case synthesis.
Cole volunteers as a senior editor with the Canadian Law Review. He mentors students that are interested in writing and publishing articles on a broad range of legal issues. In this role, Cole hopes to engage his curiosity and exercise his critical thinking skills as it applies to the Canadian justice system.
Prior to law school, Cole worked as a legal assistant for a small law office, where he acquired insight into the administrative aspects of legal work and file management. Through this position, he gained an understanding of how lawyers can better serve their clients and community.
At this point in his career, Cole is interested in developing his skills as a litigator but intends to broaden his knowledge in a number of areas to inform his practice.
