George advises clients on commercial and regulatory issues in the energy sector and is based in our London office. Among other things, he frequently advises clients on energy supply agreements, power purchase agreements, connection agreements, development agreements and industry codes. He also advises on energy regulation within the GB gas and electricity markets. His clients include corporate energy users, generators, developers, industry bodies, government departments and energy suppliers.
George joined Gowling WLG from Slaughter and May where he advised on a range of energy and infrastructure projects and transactions. His work included advising a major UK energy from waste (EfW) business and advising a leading infrastructure fund in respect of a multi-billion dollar investment in a gas pipeline network.
He is passionate about both the crucial role energy plays in our social and economic lives and the energy transition currently taking place.
