
Bio
Kaedyn Lashley is an articling student in Gowling WLG’s Calgary office.
Kaedyn obtained her JD from the University of Manitoba in 2026. Prior to law school, she earned a bachelor of arts in criminology from the University of Manitoba and represented Team Canada as a rhythmic gymnast.
During law school, Kaedyn worked as a research assistant with the Faculty of Law’s Access to Justice Department and completed an externship with the Legal Help Centre, where she worked directly with clients and provided legal support across a range of practice areas. She volunteered with the Winnipeg Children’s Access Agency and served as a coordinator for No Means No. As In this role, she facilitated workshops educating youth on consent and their rights under Canadian law. Drawing on her experience supporting diverse clientele, Kaedyn brings a client-centred approach and strong advocacy skills to her work at Gowling WLG.
Additionally, she was actively involved in student leadership as co-president of the Manitoba Chapter of the Black Law Students’ Association, where she helped foster community, mentorship, and professional development opportunities for students.
In her free time, Kaedyn enjoys cooking, playing board games, and travelling.
