Marc Ouellet is an associate counsel in Gowling WLG's Montreal office, where he is a member of the Labour, Employment & Equalities Group. His practice focuses on unfair competition, human rights, and privacy and confidentiality.
Marc has advised and represented clients in numerous litigation matters involving termination of employment, breach of non-competition and non-solicitation covenants, and injunctive relief to stop illegal picketing.
He also assists his clients in collective and individual bargaining, and develops strategies to help them comply with various legislative obligations. Additionally, he drafts contracts and policies for them, and generally provides advice on all aspects of labour and employment law.
Throughout his career, during which he has served as both in-house counsel and in private practice, Marc has acquired a great deal of experience in a variety of economic sectors, from transportation to financial institutions. He enjoys providing practical advice based on his clients' business realities, and has a knack for being attuned to their operational concerns.
He practices law in both English and French.
