Mathieu Papineau is an associate in Gowling WLG's Montreal office, practising in the Commercial Litigation Group.
In the course of his practice, Mathieu regular argues cases before the various courts of Quebec. He has experience related to commercial leasing, contractual litigation, extraordinary remedies (injunctions, safeguard orders), and estate law.
Prior to joining Gowling WLG, Mathieu worked in the areas of civil and commercial litigation with a regional firm.
Mathieu holds a LLB in Civil Law from Université de Montréal, where he was named to the undergraduate honour roll.
During his studies, he articled at the Superior Court of Quebec with the Honourable Benoît Moore, who is now a judge of the Quebec Court of Appeal.
Mathieu practises law in English and French.
