Megan L. McMahon

Megan McMahon is a partner in the advocacy department in Gowling WLG's Calgary office. Her practice focuses primarily on health law, medical and personal injury defence, including acting as counsel to the Canadian Medical Protective Association and its member physicians.

Megan has extensive trial experience at all levels of courts in Alberta. She understands the unique exposure that health practitioners are subject to and works diligently to defend them when their practice is in issue.

She has effectively represented clients before administrative tribunals, including the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta, Fatality Inquiries, and the Workers' Compensation Board. When not acting for clients, Megan contributes her time and skills helping others by providing pro bono legal advice in the litigation context.
