Oliver Munn is an articling student in Gowling WLG’s Calgary office.
Oliver earned his juris doctor from the University of Saskatchewan in 2026. During law school, he was actively involved with Pro Bono Students Canada through the CLASSIC project and served as a teaching assistant for the first-year Legal Research and Writing course in his final year. He was also a member of the University of Saskatchewan’s gold medal-winning team at the 2025 Law Games in Halifax.
Oliver has developed a strong interest in corporate litigation and is eager to gain experience across a broad range of practice areas during his articling year.
Committed to community service, Oliver has spent the past four summers volunteering with the Calgary Food Bank and The Mustard Seed. He also has extensive experience working with preschool-aged children, including those with FASD, autism spectrum disorder, Down syndrome, and ADHD.
Before attending law school, Oliver earned a bachelor of arts (Honours) with Distinction from Queen’s University, majoring in political studies and minoring in economics. In his final year, he successfully defended an Honours thesis. His passion for written and oral advocacy, combined with a desire to make a meaningful impact, inspired him to pursue a career in law.
Outside the office, Oliver enjoys spending time at his family’s cabin in Golden, British Columbia, skiing at Kicking Horse, and golfing.
