Paul Shaw

Paul Shaw is a partner in Gowling WLG's Tax group.

Paul has extensive experience advising on all aspects of tax mitigation and structuring, with a particular focus on advising clients in the real estate sector. Paul advises on all forms of real estate transactions from structuring inward investment, to high value acquisitions and disposals, property development and finance arrangements across the whole range of real estate asset classes.

Paul has also acted on a number of contentious matters opposite HMRC and the Welsh Revenue Authority with a particular focus on property transfer taxes, specifically SDLT and LTT.

Paul features in both the Legal 500 and Chambers and Partners, which places Paul in Band 3 saying: "Paul Shaw stands out for his advice to real estate fund managers on matters including the structuring of acquisitions and disposals."
