Philip W. Nykyforuk

Philip Nykyforuk is the leader of Gowling WLG’s Insurance and Professional Liability Practice Group. He is based in the firm’s Calgary office.

Consistently recognized by Lexpert and Best Lawyers in Canada as one of the leading lawyers in his field, Phil advises clients on insurance, health, personal injury and professional liability matters. Over the course of his career, he has represented clients in applications, trials and appeals at all levels of court in Alberta, as well as before administrative tribunals and professional bodies. He also has extensive experience in arbitration and mediation.

Prior to joining the firm, Phil was admitted to the Bar of Pennsylvania and practised with an international law firm in the areas of commercial litigation and products liability litigation. He remains on active, non-practising status in Pennsylvania.
